A Data Fusion Algorithm for Multisensor Systems
Data fusion techniques are used in many tracking and surveillance systems as well as in applications where reliability is of a main concern. One solution for design of such systems is to employ a number of sensors (maybe of different types) and to fuse the information obtained from all these sensors on a central processor. Past attempts to solve this problem required an organization of a feedba...
متن کاملUnsupervised multisensor data fusion approach
A new iterative approach of multisensor data fusion based on the Dempster-Shafer formalism is presented. Mass functions, formalized by a Gaussian model, are estimated at each iteration using the output fused image and the source images. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated on synthetic images.
متن کاملMultisensor integration and fusion in intelligent systems
Interest has been growing in the use of multiple sensors to increase the capabilities of intelligent systems. The issues involved in integrating multiple sensorsinto the operation of a system are presented in the context of the type of information these sensors can uniquely provide. The advantages gained through the synergistic use of multisensory information can be decomposed into a combinatio...
